Good Night to You, San Francisco

The twinkling stars

Are fading away

And the fog is lifting

Out over the bay

So, I'm heading home

With my memories

Of the best time that I've had

In history

So, good night, to you, San Francisco

I had a ball

Let's do it all

Again soon.

I rode the cable cars

And ate Chinatown

I walked along Fort Point

To hear the fog horns sound

I met a guy who's quite a peach

Drinkin' Irish coffees in old North Beach

So, good night, to you, San Francisco

San Francisco, oh, what a town.

From old Coit Tower

Out to Alcatraz

No other town has

What this town has

From the Wharf and the piers

To the crookedest street

I did it all and it can't be beat.

So, good night, to you, San Francisco

I had a ball

Let's do it all

Again soon.

I stopped at the Palace

And the Top of the Mark

(And) a South of Market club

That was loud and dark

I never knew I could get such a thrill

Just from standing a-top Nob Hill

So, good night, to you, San Francisco

San Francisco

Open up your Golden Gate

San Francisco,

Oh, what a town.
